Here are some simple everyday activities to help your child to make a good start with maths – many of these you may do already. We know that firm maths foundations include numbers and counting, but now we also know that other experiences help with maths, like jigsaw puzzles, building with bricks and spotting patterns. All these will help children develop confidence in maths later on – but most importantly, these are maths activities for families to enjoy together.
One set of activities is aimed at children under three and the other is for four year olds, perhaps before they start school.
